Yes, yes we did.
We have figured out why he appears to be fresh out of "Joementum"!

First, you have a guy that socially has a very good record. He actually passed himself off as a real-deal liberal for a very long time. Then, Joe ran for vice-president and got a taste of the big-time. Well, poor Joe...sweet Joe, thought he could run for president. The only thing he couldn't shake was that vice-presidential debate.

He looked like a pussy. He came off like a weak, little, girly-man next to an old bear. Cheney was the alpha male on that TV screen, and that never got out of old Joe's head. When he ran for president, he started his rightward swing. He had witnessed the right-tilt of the country like the rest of us, and over the last few years he decided that was the ticket! By golly, Old Joe was gonna out-Fox'em.

Old Joe was gonna not seem weak, sign onto that disastrous Iraq war, and hang onto it with all his might.

The only miscalculation that Joe made was that the american people would tire of losing soldiers for nothing, or worse...oil.  He didn't realize that the nation would snap out of the hypnosis that they were under since 2001, and return to their senses. So, now...poor Joe...he realizes he might not win his primary. Why? Well...that's simple.

He turned on his party. He turned on his voters. He has become that which he spent a career fighting. And he knows he's going to lose the general election.

I know what he's thinkin'. He is now running as a so-called "petitioning Democrat". This is doublespeak for running as an Independent...but trying to have it both ways. Since he's decided to defy the will of the voters as an independent, the party WILL NOT support his reelection bid. Bye-bye money. By saying he's this bullshit "petitioning democrat" he can still go on to the general election, and still retain some party support. He'll call out every favor he has left, I assure you. But we suspect he'll be surprised with the results.

Joe thinks that he's made such friends out of the Republicans that they'll come out in droves and vote for him, and retain his seat, whichever flag he flies. But, Joe, I just think that's dead wrong. I think 'the people' have simply had enough of old Joe. I think he sees the writing on the wall, and like his 'new friends' he's gonna try to change the rules, or circumvent them just to retain power.

In short: Yes. He thinks the people of Connecticut are that stupid. But...apparently not.

On one hand he says he's still a democrat, yet he refuses to be beholden to the will of the democratic electors. What kind of sense does that make?

The Democrats "get" that the way to clean up the government is to first clean their own house. If it's Lieberman, Jefferson, or McKinney..to be the party of ethics, they have to practice it.

Poor Joe, Sweet Joe. Bye-Bye Joe.
