Kentucky Election Results

I am watching the Kentucky election results like the rest of you. Most of this is turning out as expected. Hillary Clinton is beating Barack Obama by 20-25%. The Kentucky Democrats have a prayer answered in Anne Northup winning her first primary in roughly 2 years. She'll be fun to kick around again. :)

Anne...we know how to beat you . And we'll beat you again. Weren't you supposed to move to Florida or somesuch? How many lost elections can your ego take? How much more plastic surgery can your face take, for the love of GOD!

Mitch McConnell has won his primary by the expected amount. Big-Business is going to float this guy all the way back to re-election. Here's why: Bruce Lunsford is just not going to beat him. Simple as that. If he were an actual 'Democrat' that would be one thing. But with the Vencor mess, and his own track record...add to that he's not really taking the campaign seriously...this smacks of ego instead of a real drive for change. And let's face it: Kentucky NEEDS change. We have the 2nd highest poverty rate in the nation. You do the math. The very people who need the news and opinions that blog-sites like these give them, can't afford such things as the internet...they're trying to keep food on their tables...should they be so lucky as to even have those. Let alone computers...

Mitch McConnell is NOT going to provide anything more than what he has given us: A few more big projects while the poor...get moreso. That's the way these Republicans work. And he's really, really, good at winning elections. He needed a serious challenger. Kentucky decided to shit-can the only real shot we had at taking this seat in Lt. Col. Andrew Horne (who went on to endorse Lunsford for reasons I'll never fully understand) so we get what we get.

A weak challenger to a seat that should have been vulnerable. Between the economy, gas prices, and the Iraq war...McConnell should have been an easy target. Fear not: My bretheren at DitchMitchky.com aren't going to give up the fight, so we shouldn't either.

Greg Fischer made the expected showing, and Michael Cassaro should have stayed home...Geoff Davis, that "boy", managed to win his primary. The Republicans in this state are shameless...and for the most part brainless.

Katie King won for district judge. Gerald Neal and David Boswell won, rounding out the group.

Overall: A weird night for Democrats that settled...not much.
