Louisville, KY -
Just in case it may have possibly slipped your mind: Today is election day!
Needless to say, get your ass out and vote!
If you don't know where you are supposed to vote, Kentucky has a website set up for you to go figure it out. They even give you a handy MapQuest link to figure out where you're supposed to go.
Just provide your name and birthday and they'll let you know that you are registered (or not, and if that's the case- Shame on you) and which districts you live in. Click this link to get Kentucky Voter Information: https://cdcbp.ky.gov/VICWeb/index.jsp
So Chuck is out on patrol today, hitting up various voting places, capturing information related to the bajillions of people who intend to get their voices heard today.
Stay tuned throughout the day for Pictures, Video and other such awesome. Chuck said he's going to try to find some republicans and piss them off. Let's hope he doesn't get his ass kicked in the name of journalism. UPDATES!!! 10:45 AM: According to WKLY , some voters received incorrect information about where to vote-- in Jefferson county. Don't be hoodwinked. Check the link! 11:30 AM: Chuck is on the road! He's headed towards polling locations in the South and West End. Comment with where your poll location was/is if you know it! Also-- If you need a ride to your polling place, the Jefferson County Website recommends you call your Party's HQ: "Voters should contact their political party headquarters for additional information. Republican Headquarters telephone number is 502.584.7111 and Democratic Headquarters telephone number is 502.582.1999." 11:45 AM: The Courier Journal reported that the NAACP is also offering free rides to go vote. You can reach the Jefferson County branch at 776-7608. No excuses! 11:55 AM: Courier Journal also has a page with people reporting how long they waited to vote . There are about 4 instances of people waiting more than two hours so far. There's no need to feel discouraged about long wait times, guys. Chuck said he's on his way to Central High School to check out the happenings. 12:00 PM: The Barbelle Sarah Havens, writer for the Leo, voted this morning! She went to the Starbucks at 4th Street (in the Seelbach) to claim her free coffee and there was a sign saying they weren't giving any out! Utter bullshit! I'm going to lunch. 12:35 PM: Chuck rand down to Central High school, and gave me a ringy-dingy on the banana phone. There there had apparently been some bullshit happening at the school in regards to collecting votes this morning. Some people got a little pissed. By the time Chuck got there, the police had arrived, and were pulling out of the driveway. Jennifer Moore, Kentucky's Democratic Chair, spoke to Chuck on the phone. Ms. Moore expressed that she was pleased with how smoothly things seem to be running and how quickly things are getting resolved. Awesome! 1:02 PM: Chuck told me that the streets are not filled with panic stricken voters with torches and/or pitchforks. Sadly, there's no looting at the Mall St. Matthews, either. GET YOUR ASS OUT OF THE HOUSE AND VOTE. 1:50 PM: My boyfriend, Taylor, lives in the Highlands. At 1:17 or so, he went to go vote. He's back now. He said there wasn't a line at all. I'm really excited to go vote! Get me the hell out of this office! 2:53 PM: Things still look smooth for voters throughout the country. Some states are prepared for 100% voter turnout. Hawaii is one of them. Chuck, some other people I know, and myself are all doubtful that Kentucky and Indiana are among the ranks of Hawaii. Roughly 1.25 hours until I leave this building to vote! I need to find somewhere to have a drink when I'm done. 4:12 PM: I think I'm ready to go now. I'll update when I can tonight. I'll leave you with an image from California:
7:45 PM: I VOTED AT 5pm! It only took 10 minutes!! I ate dinner and had some beers!!! ANN NORTHUP'S BITCH ASS IS ABOUT TO CONCEDE!!!!
