You Know You Want One
No matter who you are pulling for in this election, the popularity polls indicate that the vast majority of Americans are ready to see Bush pack up his things and get the hell out of the White House. While there is tons of anti-Bush paraphernalia out there, few things capture our disdain as well as "George W. Flush"—a design by famed urinal sculptor Clark Sorensen. Unfortunately, this urinal is one of a kind, but it will be on display at his one-man show entitled "Down The Drain - The Legacy of George W. Bush." at Ruby's Clay Studio and Gallery in San Francisco. The show runs from January 17 to February 16, 2009. Hopefully, visitors will be allowed to relieve themselves in it. Let's be honest—it would be satisfying on multiple levels. [Clark Sorensen via InventorSpot] |

Louisville, Ky - Some of the rhetoric of the 2008 campaign has been surprising. There are as many lies and hate in the air as ever. Lies!
Sarah Palin is a HUGE problem for women. She's doing more for our misogynistic culture than any man ever could. Singularly, she is setting the womens rights movement back, oh...30 years? Some people are eating this up. Check our Videos section for more on that. Palin's history is pretty interesting. If you look at it in order: She gets help from someone, then stabs them in the back. Again and again. She's doing the same to McCain right now. There have been multiple stories all across the media spectrum about recent in-fighting. Going off script. Trying to set herself up for 2012. And the Republicans think that the Democrats are wolves in sheep's clothing? Watch your own backs, folks...it looks like it's everyone for themselves on that side of the isle. Oddly, the Republicans are using their female candidates to spew some of the most toxic, and false, information. Take, for example, just about every word that comes out of Sarah Palin's mouth. She has singularly lost this election for McCain. The Republican strategy has been one of divide-and-conquer for a generation. Find wedge-issues...push'em. Gay marriage, abortion, "Intelligent Design" in public schools...things that don't really matter in a world where we have nuclear missiles targeting our cities and terrorists...both foreign and domestic...trying to kill us all. This sort of thing is sickening. Sen. Elizabeth Dole has decided to run ad's in N.C. stating that her opponent, Democrat Kay Hagen, was accepting money from a group advocating "godlessness". This has been flatly proven a lie, yet they still run the ad. They stand by it. Kay Hagen is a Christian. A member of the Presbyterian church. A former Sunday-School teacher. Why do I have to print this? What does any of this have to do with lowering oil prices (on the back of still more record profits)? What about rebuilding the military that the Bush administration las left nearly broken? What does any of this have to do with creating one American job? What does any of this have to do with rising inflation, rising food prices, higher cost of living, lower wages? And again, so what? What if she were an Atheist? Or a Muslim? Or a Jew? Or a Hindu? What does any of this have to do with any of the problems facing voters? |
