| The creation of BlackWednesday was really spawned in late Feb. 2003. This was before the U.S. invasion of Iraq, while George W. Bush was still setting up what would become known as the greatest American blunder since initiating the ViewNam war. On a cold, and rainy afternoon, I met with over 100 like-minded individuals for a march and rally. "Do not attack the people of Iraq" wah the primary chant. The media showed up for what in this town could be called an "impressive event". This was when it wasn't "cool" to be anti-Bush. This was when people like me were called "terrorists" or "un-American", or "unpatriotic". As we all know; the invasion happened anyway.
Then the American People re-elected the mad -man who set all of this in motion. Soldiers and civilians continue to die. In the spirit of dissent: BlackWednesday was born.

BlackWednesday.org began 11/03/04. This was the day after the 2004 re-election of George W. Bush.
At that time, many of us suspected that the nation had made a terrible mistake.
The years 2006-2007 saw the fruition of those fears.
